Singleton Birch produce the only Natural Hydraulic Lime which is made in Britain.
 
Lime has been used in building and construction for hundreds of years and many of our most important heritage buildings bear testament to the enduring properties of lime.
 
Cement construction in the UK from the early 20th century saw an ever increasing drive for stronger mortars, which can cause problems for both new and old buildings alike.
 
Singleton Birch produce hydraulic lime and high calcium lime at our works in North Lincolnshire.  This website is intended to provide a resource to users, specifiers and those with an interest in building limes for both restoration and new-build.
